Miao Guangfa, Chairman of the Group, Attends the Innovation & Development Conference of the School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Harbin Engineering University

Yin Jingwei, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Harbin Engineering University, and Zhou Ronglin, Deputy Chief Engineer of AVIC Beijing Aeronautical Manufacturing Technology Research Institute, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Huang Yudong, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, sent an online message of encouragement. Han Duanfeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, read the official approval for the establishment of the Industry Alumni Association and presented the association flag. More than 200 representatives from universities, research institutes, industrial enterprises and alumni attended the event. Miao Guangfa, Chairman of the Group, participated in the conference as an alumni representative and delivered an onstage speech.
Two alumni associations, namely the Advanced Materials Industry Alumni Association and the Electrochemical New Energy Industry Alumni Association, were inaugurated at the conference. Relevant leaders of the School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering presented a development report on the school. The school also signed strategic cooperation agreements with a number of enterprises.
An award ceremony was held during the conference to commend cooperative entities, retired faculty and distinguished alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the school’s development. A series of academic exchanges and alumni seminars focusing on discipline development and the integration of industry and education were organized throughout the conference.
On behalf of distinguished alumni, Miao Guangfa addressed the assembly. He stated that the solid professional training and rigorous academic atmosphere of the school had laid a solid foundation for his career. To repay his alma mater for its cultivation, he donated RMB 1 million on behalf of the Group to set up a student scholarship fund. The Group is ready to provide all-round support to the school in talent recruitment, research achievement commercialization, as well as employment and entrepreneurship services for current students.
For years, the Group has stayed true to its original aspiration, fulfilled social responsibilities, actively undertaken corporate obligations, and devoted itself to educational public welfare and collaborative development between universities and enterprises. Going forward, the Group will further deepen comprehensive and in-depth cooperation with universities. Leveraging its industrial platforms and resource advantages, it will continue to support joint research projects between schools and enterprises and the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, contributing joint efforts from both academia and industry to the high-quality development of the sector.
