Steam and thermal water pipelines at Lahendong (K. Erbas, GFZ)
Indonesia has about 40 percent of the world's proven geothermal resources, but until now only high-enthalpy geothermal resources are used. An efficient exploitation of a lower temperature range can significantly extend the exploitable geothermal potential.
The main project goal of this demonstration power plant is to demonstrate a reliable and efficient power production from low-enthalpy geothermal resources in Indonesia. In this binary power plant, Pentane working fluid is used in its ORC system, which turbin is supplied by Fuji Electric.
